Freelance Health & Social Care Trainer

We are looking for an experienced Freelance Health & Social Care Trainer to support the delivery and quality assurance of our healthcare programmes through regular on site learner observations and employer engagement.
This role is predominantly field based, with travel across Cambridge and surrounding areas including Norwich, Ipswich, Northampton, and London. You will play a key role in maintaining high training standards through multiple site visits and learner observations each day, working closely with employers and learners in real workplace environments.
This is an ideal opportunity for an experienced Health & Social Care professional who enjoys being out on the road, engaging with services, and ensuring high quality care standards are being delivered in practice.
Whilst we can't promise that every day will be the same, your key responsibilities are likely to be:
- Conducting on site learner observations in health and social care settings, often completing multiple observations per day.
- Visiting care providers and workplaces to assess learner competence in real working environments.
- Providing clear, constructive feedback to learners and employers following observations.
- Supporting learners to progress through their Level 2-Level 5 Health & Social Care qualifications.
- Building strong relationships with care homes, supported living providers, and healthcare employers.
- Ensuring compliance with sector standards, apprenticeship requirements, and quality expectations.
- Completing observation reports and documentation in a timely and accurate manner.
- Working closely with the wider training and quality team to support learner progress and achievement.
- Acting as a professional representative of Realise on site with employers and learners.
- Sufficient occupational competency/work experience in a leadership role in Health & Social Care to be able to deliver training towards qualifications and apprenticeships in adult care, support worker (essential).
- An assessing qualification (e.g., D32/33, A1, TAQA, CAVA) - advantageous.
- A teaching qualification (PTLLS, CTLLS, QTS, PGCE) - advantageous.
- Experience delivering some form of training or mentoring in your role.
- Full UK Driving Licence and own mode of transport (essential).
- All successful applicants will undergo a DBS and online search check at the job offer stage.
- Proof of qualifications and Right to Work in the UK is required.
