Our client
Our client is a dynamic and rapidly expanding international organization, recently formed through the merger of multiple country-specific entities, backed by a private equity firm. With their international headquarters located in the greater Amsterdam area, we are consolidating and optimizing their global IT infrastructure and business processes.
The role
We are seeking an experienced and highly communicative Freelance Dynamics 365 Implementation Consultant to play a crucial role in our client's global ERP rollout. You will be responsible for working closely with business stakeholders across various countries to understand their requirements, configure Business Central to meet their needs, and ensure a smooth and successful implementation. Your ability to communicate effectively and build strong relationships will be paramount to success in our diverse, post-merger environment.
Tasks & responsibilities
- Conduct in-depth workshops and interviews with business users across different country organizations to understand their current processes, challenges, and requirements for Dynamics 365 Business Central;
- Translate business requirements into functional specifications and configure Dynamics 365 Business Central modules (e.g., Finance, Sales, Purchasing, Inventory, Project Management) to align with global standards and local needs;
- Advise on best practices for leveraging Business Central's capabilities to optimize existing business processes, identify opportunities for standardization, and minimize customizations where possible;
- Collaborate with technical teams on data migration strategies, ensuring accurate and efficient transfer of legacy data into Business Central;
- Develop and execute test plans, lead user acceptance testing (UAT) sessions, and ensure the implemented solution meets quality standards and business expectations;
- Deliver comprehensive training to end-users and key users across different country organizations, fostering adoption and ensuring a smooth transition. Provide post-go-live support and troubleshoot any issues;
- Proactively engage with project stakeholders at all levels, including leadership, country managers, and end-users, to ensure clear communication, manage expectations, and drive consensus;
- Create and maintain clear, concise documentation, including functional design documents, process flows, training materials, and user guides.
Your profile
- Dynamics 365 Business Central Expertise: Proven track record of successful end-to-end implementation projects with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central;
- Strong functional knowledge across multiple Business Central modules (e.g., Finance, Sales, Purchase, Inventory, Project Management);
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills in English, with the ability to clearly articulate complex concepts to diverse audiences and build rapport with stakeholders from various cultural backgrounds;
- Demonstrated experience in effectively managing diverse stakeholders, facilitating workshops, and driving collaboration across different business units and geographical locations;
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a pragmatic approach to identifying solutions and overcoming implementation challenges;
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Must be proactive, take initiative, and be able to adapt to changing priorities;
- Working as a freelance consultant with your own Dutch legal entity (Eenmanszaak is mandatory for this engagement).
