Freelance Driver Trainer

As a Freelance Driver Trainer based in Guildford, you will deliver half and full-day coaching and assessment sessions for PDT Fleet Training Solutions.

Working on client premises, you will instruct candidates in category B vehicles, predominantly vans, covering both classroom theory and practical on-road training.

Each half-day session lasts four hours, requiring precise scheduling and timely completion of accurate assessment reports.

This contract position offers £150 per day and suits an experienced professional seeking varied assignments across Britain.

Your background should include relevant instructional qualifications and a thorough understanding of fleet safety standards. Strong communication skills and the ability to adapt training to individual needs are essential for success in this field-based role.

PDT Fleet Training Solutions is looking to onboard several Freelance Fleet Driver Trainers/ Instructors/ Assessors at multiple locations across Great Britain. This role involves working with prestigious clients and delivering a mix of classroom and on-road driver induction or upgrade courses at locations across the country. Successful candidates will have the opportunity to work for the UK's fastest growing and forward-thinking providers of fleet driver training.

• Delivering both half and full-day coaching and assessment sessions on client premises in category B Vehicles (mostly vans).
• Half-day courses are 4 hours in duration.
• Timely completion of an accurate assessment report.

• Desirable qualifications include being accredited as an (ADI) Approved Driving Instructor Fleet Trainer or recorded on the LGV National Instructors Register (NIR).
• A proactive approach to delivering engaging and inclusive training (positive driver behaviours are to be promoted).
• Experience in delivering courses in electric vehicles (free upskill training is available to the right applicants).
• Professional approach to the delivery of safe driving PowerPoint presentations.
• Excellent communication and report-writing skills.

Your laptop and printer (all course presentation material is provided by PDT).

• Flexibility to choose which days you work (you will manage your diary).
• We offer £105 for half day courses and up to £210 for full day Monday-Friday.
• Weekend work is occasionally available at enhanced rates.
