Freelance Driver Trainer

Freelance Driver Trainer (Contract, £150 per day) based in Kendal. You will deliver half and full-day coaching and assessment sessions for category B vehicles, primarily vans, at client premises. Sessions last four hours for half-day bookings. Responsibilities include completing precise assessment reports promptly. This contract role suits an experienced instructor seeking flexible, local work. You should hold relevant training qualifications and possess strong communication skills. Assignments cover both classroom and on-road elements, covering inductions and upgrades. The position offers varied work across different sites. Ideal candidates bring prior fleet training experience and a professional manner.

PDT Fleet Training Solutions is looking to onboard several Freelance Fleet Driver Trainers/ Instructors/ Assessors at multiple locations across Great Britain. This role involves working with prestigious clients and delivering a mix of classroom and on-road driver induction or upgrade courses at locations across the country. Successful candidates will have the opportunity to work for the UK's fastest growing and forward-thinking providers of fleet driver training.

Duties

• Delivering both half and full-day coaching and assessment sessions on client premises in category B Vehicles (mostly vans).
• Half-day courses are 4 hours in duration.
• Timely completion of an accurate assessment report.

Skills and Experience

• Desirable qualifications include being accredited as an (ADI) Approved Driving Instructor Fleet Trainer or recorded on the LGV National Instructors Register (NIR).
• A proactive approach to delivering engaging and inclusive training (positive driver behaviours are to be promoted).
• Experience in delivering courses in electric vehicles (free upskill training is available to the right applicants).
• Professional approach to the delivery of safe driving PowerPoint presentations.
• Excellent communication and report-writing skills.
• Your laptop and printer (all course presentation material is provided by PDT).
