Job Description

Fraud Barrister (2+ years' experience) sought by eNL for a Birmingham-based full-time role, offering £75,000-£100,000 per annum depending on experience.

This position suits a barrister with a solid Personal Injury foundation who now wishes to specialise in civil fraud, insurance fraud, and financial disputes, collaborating with leading solicitors and professional clients.

You will handle a varied fee-earning caseload, delivering high-quality advocacy and legal counsel while cultivating enduring connections with instructing solicitors and other contacts.

The successful candidate will demonstrate robust litigation skills and a proactive approach to broadening their practice.

THE ROLE
  • This is an excellent opportunity for a barrister with a strong Personal Injury background who has developed an interest or practice in fraud, commercial, regulatory or employment litigation and is keen to broaden and grow their client base.
  • You will undertake a varied fee-earning caseload, providing high-quality advocacy and legal advice while developing strong relationships with solicitors, clients and other professional contacts.
  • Build strong and lasting relationships with instructing solicitors and professional clients.
  • Take an active role in business development, including attending seminars, networking events and other client-facing activities.
  • Help shape our seminar programme by identifying relevant topics and sharing your expertise through presentations and seminars.
SKILLS REQUIRED
  • Applications are sought from barristers with a minimum of 2 years' experience within fraud.
  • Excellent advocacy and communication skills.
  • The ability to manage a demanding caseload effectively.
  • Strong organisational and time-management skills.
  • A professional, commercial and client-focused approach.
  • An appetite to develop and grow a successful practice.
