ResponsibilitiesAs a Forklift Driver, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safe, accurate and efficient flow of materials across the Dungannon site. Working as part of a team, you will support Production and Stores operations by delivering materials on time, to specification and in line with standard work, within a fast paced manufacturing environment.
- Operate forklifts and other Powered Industrial Trucks (PIT) safely and efficiently, including Counterbalance, Reach Truck, Pallet Stacker.
- Transport materials between Stores, Production and other designated areas.
- Load and unload material deliveries, ensuring correct handling and storage.
- Support Production through the timely and accurate supply of parts.
- Carry out daily equipment checks and report any defects promptly.
- Maintain accurate paperwork and system records.
- Adhere to inventory control procedures to support stock accuracy.
- Comply with all health & safety, environmental and waste management procedures.
- Follow Standard Work instructions and site operating procedures.
- Maintain high standards of housekeeping and workplace organisation (5S).
- Carry out additional duties as required in line with the role.
- Previous experience operating forklifts in a manufacturing, warehouse or industrial environment.
- Valid PIT licence (Counterbalance essential).
- Strong focus on safety and attention to detail.
- Self motivated with a proactive approach to work.
- Strong teamwork and communication skills.
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities in a fast paced environment.
- A continuous improvement mindset.
