Salary: £160-£270 per day
Contract: Full-time

We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Food Technology Teacher to join a welcoming secondary school in Bingley, BD16, on a full-time basis.

This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate Food Technology specialist who enjoys inspiring students and creating engaging, practical lessons.

The Role

As a Food Technology Teacher, you will:

• Plan and deliver engaging Food Technology lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4.
• Teach practical cooking, nutrition, food preparation and food science.
• Develop students' practical skills, creativity and understanding of healthy eating.
• Prepare students for GCSE Food Preparation & Nutrition where required.
• Create a positive, inclusive and well-managed classroom environment.
• Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback.
• Ensure excellent standards of food hygiene, health and safety.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues and contribute to the wider school community.

About You

The successful candidate will ideally have:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or relevant teaching experience.
• Experience teaching Food Technology within a secondary school setting.
• Strong subject knowledge and practical food preparation skills.
• Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
• A passion for teaching and supporting young people's development.
• The ability to plan and deliver engaging, practical lessons.
• An enhanced DBS check, or be willing to obtain one.
• A commitment to safeguarding and promoting student wellbeing.
