Job Title: Food Service Assistant
Location: Hinckley
Contract: Permanent - Part Time 27.5 hours per week
Working Pattern: Monday to Friday 8:00pm to 1:30am
Rate of Pay: £13.71 per hour
We're looking for a friendly, reliable and customer-focused Food Service Assistant to join our catering team at DPD Hinckley.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a busy catering environment, delivering excellent customer service and being part of a supportive team. Whether you already have catering experience or are looking to develop your skills, we'd love to hear from you.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare, present and serve food and beverages to company standards.
- Deliver excellent customer service and operate the till during service.
- Replenish food counters and maintain clean, well stocked service areas.
- Carry out cleaning duties across kitchen, dining and food preparation areas.
- Follow food hygiene, health & safety and company procedures at all times.
- Check deliveries, record food temperatures and complete required documentation.
- Support the wider catering team, including assisting with special events and providing cover when needed.
- Friendly, reliable and passionate about delivering excellent customer service.
- Strong communication skills with a positive, can do attitude.
- Able to work well both independently and as part of a busy team.
- Committed to maintaining high standards of cleanliness, food hygiene and health & safety.
- Previous experience in catering, hospitality, retail or customer service is desirable.
- Till/EPOS experience and knowledge of food hygiene or COSHH are advantageous but not essential, as full training will be provided.
