Food Auditor

ESG REC is working with a leading global provider of assurance services, specialising in certification, customised assurance, cybersecurity, inspection, and training. With a strong focus on risk management, we support their clients in building safer, more sustainable futures across diverse industries.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver high-quality audit services by evaluating the effectiveness and compliance of food safety and quality management systems, either independently or as part of a team.
• Act as a subject matter expert, providing clients with clear, informed assessments of their management systems.
• Build strong relationships with clients, contributing to long-term collaboration and identifying opportunities to expand and improve service offerings.
• Stay up to date with accreditation standards and ensure audits align with regulatory and certification requirements.
• Support clients in enhancing their overall food safety performance through constructive feedback and actionable insights.

Candidate Profile:

• Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in food science, food processing, food technology, or a related discipline.
• At least 5 years of relevant professional experience within the food industry, specifically in food production and technology.
• Proven background in quality management and food safety practices.
• Certified to perform third-party audits in at least one of the following schemes:
• IFS Food
• BRC Food
• IFS Broker
• IFS Logistics
• BRC Packaging
• Additional certifications in ISO 22000 and/or FSSC 22000 are a plus.
• Strong analytical skills, a proactive and assertive attitude, and experience leading audit teams.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Fluency in both spoken and written English and Dutch.
• Comfortable using remote communication and auditing tools such as Microsoft Teams and Skype.
