Food & Beverage Team Member

The National Trust is renowned for its food and hospitality. We run 185 cafés, tea rooms and restaurants all over England, Wales and Northern Ireland, and we would love you to join us.

We are looking for a Food and Beverage Team Member who will make a real difference to the work of the National Trust as well as help give people a memorable day out.

This location is in a rural area, so please think about how you would get here for work before applying.

Contract type: zero hour contract, meaning we can't guarantee a set number of hours each week. We aim for a consistent work pattern, but schedules may change based on business needs. The role includes weekends and Bank Holidays but does not require evening or split shifts.

Contract duration: fixed term until 31 Aug 2027. Three contracts are available.

Salary: £12.75 per hour.

Interview dates: week commencing 13 Aug 2026.

As a Team Member, your main focus will be front of house, dealing directly with people. You'll welcome and look after everyone who comes to the café. With your love of working with people, your 'can do' attitude and your desire to provide outstanding service, you'll ensure everyone has an enjoyable time. This lively business is constantly on the go, so teamwork and adaptability are crucial.

You'll be keen to understand what people want, help them and make recommendations. You'll keep the standards of food and drink preparation and presentation high, using your excellent eye for detail to keep displays and signs accurate and looking good. At times you may assist the kitchen team with preparing food.

We'll give you an induction that fits the job and training in allergens and food safety, plus any mentoring needed to help you in your role. You can sign up for further professional training and development if you wish.
