We're looking for two Food and Beverage Team Members to join us at the incredible Aira Force Café, located on the edge of Ullswater.In this role, you'd be making a real difference to the work of the National Trust, as well as helping to give people a memorable day out. This location is in a rural area, so please think about how you'd get here for work before applying for the job.
Salary: £19,890 per annum (£12.75 per hour)
Contract Duration: Permanent
Contract Type: 1560 hours per year. This role is based on annualised hours, where the amount of hours you work each month may vary, however your salary will be paid in 12 equal instalments over the year.
Working Pattern: You will work 1,560 hours per year. This equates to an average of 30 hours per week / 4 out of 7 days. This includes weekends and Bank Holidays on a rota basis, but doesn't require evenings or split shifts. Hours may be higher in Summer and lower in Winter. Flexibility is required as schedules can change to meet service needs, but we will aim to give as much notice as possible.

As a Team Member, your main focus will be front of house, dealing directly with people. You'll welcome and look after everyone who comes to the café. With your love of working with people, your 'can do' attitude and your desire to provide an outstanding service, you'll be making sure everyone has an enjoyable time. This is a lively business that's constantly on the go, so teamwork and adaptability are crucial.
You'll be keen to understand what people want, to help them and to make recommendations. You'll always keep the standards of food and drink preparation and presentation high. Using your excellent eye for detail, you'll make sure all displays and signs are accurate and looking good. At times, you may need to help the kitchen team with preparing food.
We'll give you an induction that fits the job, and training in allergens and food safety, plus any mentoring needed to help you in your role. You can sign up for further professional training and development if you wish.
