About the Role

Longshaw is a stunning estate on the edge of the Peak District close to Sheffield and Chesterfield. Increasingly popular with walkers, climbers, cyclists, dog walkers and school visits, we welcome tens of thousands of visitors every year. Our food and beverage operation continues to grow - 5 years since we opened our new, 120 cover café. Last year we saw record numbers, and coupled with the success of Springwatch we are gearing up for another busy season ahead by adding some new members to our fun and friendly team. You can expect busy, fast paced shifts - so whether you're making coffee, scooping ice cream, cleaning tables or washing pots, there's always lots to do.

Responsibilities

As a Team Member, your main focus will be front of house, dealing directly with people. You'll welcome and look after everyone who comes to the café. With your love of working with people, your 'can do' attitude and your desire to provide an outstanding service, you'll be making sure everyone has an enjoyable time. This is a lively business that's constantly on the go, so teamwork and adaptability are crucial.

You'll be keen to understand what people want, to help them and to make recommendations. You'll always keep the standards for food and drink preparation and presentation high. Using your excellent eye for detail, you'll make sure all displays and signs are accurate and looking good. At times, you may need to help the kitchen team with preparing food.

We'll give you induction and training in allergens and food safety, plus any mentoring needed. You can sign up for further professional training and development if you wish.
