We're looking for a Food and Beverage Team Leader to join us! The National Trust is renowned for its food and hospitality. We run 185 cafes all over England, Wales and Northern Ireland, and we'd love you to join us. Because we are in a rural area, please consider how you'll be able to get here for work before applying.
Key DetailsSalary: £21,200 per annum (£13.25 per hour)
Contract: Permanent, 1600 hours per year. Annualised hours may vary by month; typical schedule 5 days per week in summer, 3 days in winter. Typical shifts 8:00am-4:00pm or 10:00am-5:30pm. Includes weekend and Bank Holiday working.
What you'll be doing- Give day to day support to your team, ensuring consistent high service for every café customer.
- Act in front of house role, serving food and drink, handling guest interactions, and resolving complaints.
- Maintain attention to detail to ensure displays, signs and food presentation meet standards.
- Assist kitchen staff with food preparation when required.
- Lead induction, training and mentoring of new colleagues to build an outstanding team.
- Participate in ongoing professional training and development.
- Focused on giving great service to everyone you meet.
- Team player, also able to work independently when needed.
- Well organised, adaptable and able to lead, support and develop a team.
- Confident handling a variety of situations, including complaints.
- Willing to learn new skills.
