Food and Beverage Manager Nr Leatherhead 36-42K (8-30-6pm Tuesday - Saturday)
An exceptional opportunity to head up the food and beverage operation at a well-established and much-loved family-friendly working farm and visitor attraction in the Surrey countryside, near Leatherhead. The position offers a fantastic working environment, the farm welcomes over more than 260,000 visitors per year and prides itself on delivering an exceptional and memorable experience for families and school trips throughout the year. During peak periods you will be responsible for 4 outlets, serving freshly prepared foods across a busy restaurant, popular coffee shop, pizza and ice creams. You will be supported by a duty manager, 3 supervisors and a team of 14 full time supported by a further 15 casual staff on a busy shift and a total of 90 staff on the books, many of whom are at College/University and several in their first jobs whilst working collaboratively with the Directors and the management teams across the working farm.

- Set clear objectives and communicate clearly, coaching and supporting at every opportunity.
- Maintain the highest standards of food hygiene, health and safety and licensing legislation.
- Lead, plan and deliver seasonal food and beverage menus, working closely with suppliers.
- Meet GP's monitor menu performance, customer feedback and sales trends.
- Effectively manage the rota to optimise staffing levels, efficiencies and labour budgets.
- Look at opportunities to drive additional revenue, including events, promotions and functions.
- Monitor stock control, ordering and wastage.
Then position is ideally suited to an assistant food and beverage looking to step up into their first food and beverage management position or an existing manager who will thrive working in a high footfall leisure destination. The salary banding is 36-42K, dependent on experience. What really sets this role apart is the working hours, you will be working a 5-day week from Tuesday to Saturday on a 40 hour contract, typically from 8.30am - 6pm. The company has regular social events throughout the year and are proud to invest and support in additional training and courses. Holiday entitlement is 28 days per annum with a stakeholder pension scheme. Given the location of the farm interested candidates will need to drive to work, free parking is offered along with free meals at lunch.
