Are you an experienced flood risk professional looking to work on meaningful projects across development, infrastructure and renewables - without sacrificing flexibility or progression?
We're hiring a Senior Flood Risk & Hydraulic Modelling Consultant to join a growing environmental consultancy team. You'll play a key role delivering fluvial and pluvial modelling, Flood Risk Assessments and technical advice to support developments from early strategy through to planning and delivery.
What you'll be doing:
- Building and reviewing hydraulic models (Flood Modeller Pro / TUFLOW)
- Undertaking hydrological assessments and flood risk analysis
- Identifying flood constraints and mitigation opportunities
- Supporting planning applications with high-quality technical reports
- Liaising with clients, regulators and internal teams
What we're looking for:
- 4+ years' experience in flood risk and hydraulic modelling
- Strong knowledge of UK flood risk policy and planning (e.g. NPPF)
- Confident interpreting and communicating model results
- Experience with the Environment Agency review process
- Good report writing and stakeholder communication skills
- GIS / AutoCAD experience desirable
