Pertemps is pleased to be working with a top fire safety company in the construction industry. They are currently expanding and seeking a Project Manager to work on projects in and around London. They offer competitive packages and benefits.
The role requires a proactive and pragmatic individual capable of working independently and as part of a team. The successful candidate will collaborate with all relevant contributors for the design, supply, installation, and commissioning of systems, ensuring excellent communication and quality results for customers. The project manager will be involved from pre-order through to final account and warranty period. This is an opportunity to join a growing, diverse team within an expanding sector of the fire industry. Travel and accommodation expenses are covered. Training, further qualifications, and a bonus scheme will be offered to the successful candidate.
Typical Responsibilities:- Manage sprinkler installation contracts from initial enquiry to final accounts.
- Take full financial control of projects, ensuring efficient and profitable delivery, including raising purchase and subcontractor orders.
- Manage installation work on-site; attend client meetings; oversee health and safety; produce progress updates and reports; and conduct project quality assurance checks.
- Prepare and communicate detailed work programmes to meet deadlines and contract requirements.
- Liaise with suppliers, designers, engineers, and subcontractors to ensure timely delivery and information flow; report to clients, contractors, and governing bodies as needed.
- Negotiate, monitor, and produce quotations for contract variations.
- Identify potential problems early and seek commercial advice when necessary.
- Prepare technical reports and submittals, including operating and maintenance manuals and handover documents, by collating relevant information.
- Report deviations or nonconformities from scope, standards, or contract.
- Salary - Dependent on experience, very competitive up to £70K
