A place that is proudly distinctive. We'll be celebrating all this and more as the "rebel borough" when we are the 2027 London Borough of Culture.

Haringey's people are a huge asset, with knowledge, expertise, and passion. Our staff members embody our organisational values: Caring, Creative, Courageous, Collaborative and Community-focused. These values keep us looking forward, ambitious for the future, and continuously striving to do our very best for all of our residents.
About the roleThe primary objective is to provide support services to the Fire Programme team, aiding in the delivery of fire works and surveys programs and projects, as well as facilitating resident liaison and engagement activities. The Fire Programmes team plays a crucial role within the Residential Building Safety Service, ensuring fire safety across our housing stock. Reporting to the Fire Programmes Manager and collaborating with the Project Managers, the team will be responsible for implementing actions arising from Fire Risk Assessments and upgrading doors and compartmentation.
About the teamYou'll be joining a dynamic and collaborative team, reporting to the Fire Programmes Manager and working closely with Fire Project Managers and the Resident Liaison Coordinator, while regularly engaging with stakeholders across the organisation. Although the role is primarily remote with just one day a week in the office, the team maintains a strong sense of connection-often coming together for monthly lunches to share ideas and strengthen relationships. Known for its supportive culture and shared commitment to organisational goals, this team works closely together, values open communication, and celebrates collective success.
About youYou'll have a GCSE Grade 5 or above (or equivalent) in English/Literacy and Maths, along with strong oral and written communication skills to engage effectively with internal and external stakeholders. You'll need sound numeracy skills to produce clear reports and analysis, and a strong commitment to excellent customer service. Good organisational and IT skills are essential, including proficiency in Microsoft Office and housing/property management systems. You should also have a solid understanding of relevant legislation-particularly tenancy management issues-and be familiar with housing repairs, maintenance programmes, and associated databases.
