Financial Services Manager

In light of the retirement of our Head of Service, the municipality is looking for a Head of the Financial Service. Position at 80% - Class 18. The financial service, responsible for preserving the financial balance of the municipality between expenditures and available resources in the medium and long term, participates in defining financial policy and overseeing its management. It ensures adherence to financial principles contained in the law and directives. Mission: Ensure the direction and operation of the service, activities under the supervision of the Secretary-General and the delegated member of the Council; Develop, pilot, and monitor the service projects and coordinate projects with other services; Prepare annual financial statements (closing) and ensure compliance with auditors; Finalize annual and multi-year financial reports with the support of service managers; Ensure control of the proposed projects and accompanying documents submitted to the Municipal Council; Manage the treasury and municipal debt; Be a proactive contributor to the hierarchy to evolve the service and advise municipal authorities in their financial decisions; Ensure the management and quality of financial service. Profile: You hold a university degree or equivalent in finance/accounting (specialist diploma in finance and accounting or finance expert); You are certified in management; You have a strong interest in team management, a sense of organization and assertiveness, and can demonstrate flexibility; You have a minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar responsible position, ideally in the public sector or a Swiss municipality; You are proficient in management tools and MCH2 accounting standards; You have a strong sense of responsibility, show autonomy and rigor; You have proven abilities to develop and conduct projects.
