Job Description
A prestigious private bank with a significant and growing presence in the UK is seeking a Financial Crime Compliance Officer. It is essential that this candidate has financial crime experience from a wealth background.
Key Responsibilities; Client Due Diligence (CDD) and Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD):- Conduct compliance reviews of high-risk client account openings
- Perform compliance reviews of periodic reviews for high-risk clients
- Provide guidance and support to the 1LOD (Wealth Management team) on CDD and EDD requirements for low, medium, and high-risk clients.
- Manage the team mailbox, responding to advisory-related queries from internal stakeholders, including the wealth management team
- Provide expert advice on financial crime risks
- Reviewing medium and low-risk client files to ensure compliance with CDD requirements.
- Monitoring conditions and ensuring timely resolution of outstanding issues.
- Testing the effectiveness of controls
- Assist management in the preparation and analysis of Compliance MI, providing insights into trends, risks, and areas for improvement.
- Support the development and maintenance of dashboards and reports to track financial crime compliance performance.
- Assist in the development, review, and maintenance of financial crime compliance policies and procedures, ensuring they remain up to date with regulatory changes and industry best practices.
- Provide training and awareness sessions
- Support the Head of Financial Crime Compliance KYC Team in responding to regulatory inquiries, audits, and inspections.
- Assist in the preparation of documentation and evidence for internal and external audits related to financial crime compliance.
- Proven experience in a financial crime compliance role within a private banking or wealth management environment.
- Strong knowledge of KYC, CDD, EDD, and financial crime risk management processes.
- Experience in managing compliance reviews and providing advisory support.
- Relevant professional qualifications (e.g., ICA Diploma in Financial Crime Compliance, CAMS) are desirable.
