Job Description
Equifind are excited to have joined up with a boutique private equity firm in London, who are looking for a Financial Controller to join the business.
The Private Equity business primarily focusses on the technology space, but has recently made 3 investments into the FMCG sector. After a sudden influx of deals this is now the right time to come in to pick up the day-to-day accounting, project work, due diligence and also presenting findings to the board all while reporting directly into a seasoned Chief Financial Officer.
What will you be doing?
- Responsibility for the monthly financial reporting
- Lead the preparation and presentation of the management company's annual operating plan, budget process, and quarterly forecasts; develop performance analytics with strategic recommendations to leadership
- Engage with internal and third-party colleagues to ensure timely and accurate information flow, reporting and issue resolution
- Collaborate with internal teams to analyse period financial performance. Develop and produce operations variance analyses and present analytics to management
- Support the development and documentation of business processes and accounting policies to build a rigorous internal controls environment
- Coordination and preparation of assigned information for monthly and annual reporting and external audits
- Manage an external team of accountants to prepare and deliver financial and managerial reports to a high standard
- Assist with various projects and ad hoc work
What do you need to apply?
- Fully Qualified Accountant with a minimum of 4-8 years PQE (ACA/ACCA/CIMA)
- Experience of working within the private equity, venture capitalist or wider alternatives space
- Strong working knowledge of UK GAAP
- Proven experience as a Financial Controller
- Strong analytical skills and stakeholder management
- Experience in managing internal controls
What's on offer?
- £90,000 - £100,000 base salary, dependant on experience
- 20-40% on-target bonus
