Remote working: Occasional London and national meetings (approx. six per year)
Salary: £50k FTE
Permanent, Part Time (21-25 hours)
Job Purpose:
To lead the organisation's financial management, ensuring compliant, accurate and timely reporting, and providing clear financial advice to Trustees and senior stakeholders.
Key Duties:
- Produce annual, quarterly and ad hoc management accounts (Charities SORP compliant)
- Lead budgeting, reforecasting and cashflow planning
- Monitor income/expenditure and support cost control
- Manage audit, statutory returns and P11Ds
- Oversee VAT processes, including partial exemption
- Present financial information clearly to Trustees and non financial colleagues
Person Requirements:
- Experienced charity or membership sector Financial Controller
- Strong understanding of charity VAT and SORP
- Confident engaging with Boards and Committees
- Skilled in translating strategy into operational financial plans
- Analytical, proactive and able to make informed recommendations
