Financial Analyst

What will you do?

As a Financial Analyst you will be part of the global accounting team in the Netherlands. Your main task is making sure that all financial transactions of the assigned companies are recorded correctly and timely.

Scope of work:

• Recording financial transactions including purchase invoices and expense reports

• Processing of payments and bank transactions and daily reconciliations of bank statements and cash flow overviews

• Perform monthly reconciliations between the General Ledger and the Subledger incl. balance sheet reconciliations

• Perform month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes, ensuring all entries are completed and reconciled

• Assist in the preparation of tax returns, ensuring compliance with local requirements.

• Assist with external audits by providing necessary documentation and responding to inquiries

• Assist with the preparation of reports, including variances and other financial analysis

• Ensure compliance with internal controls and accounting procedures, mitigating financial risks

We ask

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent certification

• Minimum 3 years of relevant work experience in financial accounting or a similar role

• Proactive, hands-on, innovative, excellent analytical skills and a passion for data

• Proficiency in English (both written and spoken), additional languages (e.g Dutch, German are a plus)

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

• Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to meet deadlines

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and management. Ability to work both independently and as part of team

• Affinity with ERP systems
