Job Description
The Financial Accounting Officer will play a key role in supporting the Accounting & Finance department by managing financial records, ensuring compliance with regulations, and assisting with reporting processes. The role will be working for an Arms Length Body and be based at a location around north London, Hertfordshire, Cambridgeshire or Leeds.

Description
- Processing purchase and sales ledgers
- Maintain accurate financial records and ensure compliance with relevant regulations.
- Assist in the preparation of financial statements and management reports.
- Perform reconciliations, including bank accounts and balance sheets.
- Support month-end and year-end closing processes, including accruals and prepayments
- Ensure timely and accurate processing of invoices and payments.
- Collaborate with internal teams to provide financial insights and analysis.
- Assist with audits by providing necessary documentation and clarifications.
- Identify opportunities to improve financial processes and systems.
Profile
The successful Financial Accounting Officer should have:
- Relevant qualifications in accounting or finance (active CCAB studier or AAT Level 4).
- Experience in financial reporting, reconciliations, and compliance.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- An organised and detail-focused approach to managing tasks.
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
Job Offer
- Competitive salary ranging from £33,000 to £35,500 (please note, the top will only be payable if you are studying CCAB or are AAT Level 4)
