Our client a highly successful international organisation working within the property sector are currently looking to recruit a Financial Accountant to join their team.

The role will report to the Financial Controller.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with the preparation of monthly and periodic Management Accounts and analysis on performance for consolidated group
  • Month end close process - accruals, prepayments, intercompany charges, running depreciation, revaluations
  • Ownership for ensuring all Group company balance sheets are fully reconciled on a regular basis, including intercompany account movements.
  • Preparation of VAT Returns
  • Analysing various cost centres across the business and their monthly spend and explanation of variances to budget/forecast
  • Supervision of finance team members including the Accounts Payable team
  • Fixed asset accounting with responsibility for maintaining the fixed asset register and depreciation schedules
  • Assist with efficient cashflow forecasting
  • Assistance with ERP system developments and process improvements
  • Involvement in the preparation of Statutory Accounts for individual entities and consolidated group accounts, liaising with external auditors

Ideal Candidate:

  • The role would suit a qualified accountant (ACCA, ACA, CPA or CIMA)
  • Minimum 2 years' post qualification experience in a similar role
  • Ability to work off own initiative and meet strict deadlines in an efficient and timely manner
  • Advanced level of MS Office and Excel (VLOOKUPs and Pivots)
  • ERP experience and excellent data analysis skills are essential
  • Experience in manufacturing would be an advantage but not essential
  • Experience in US GAAP would be an advantage but not essential
  • Capable of focusing on multiple projects while working towards deadlines in an ever-changing environment
  • Strong communication skills and ability to interact in a confident and clear manner
  • Ability to establish effective relationships within the business and with external parties as required
