Your new role
Reporting to the Financial Control & Reporting Manager, you will play a key role in delivering accurate and timely financial information to support business performance and decision-making.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Preparing monthly management accounts, journals, and balance sheet reconciliations.
- Managing month-end close activities and ensuring reporting deadlines are achieved.
- Reviewing P&L and balance sheet performance against budgets and forecasts.
- Producing board-level reports and presenting financial performance analysis.
- Supporting budgeting, forecasting, and business planning processes.
- Analysing financial data and providing clear commentary on variances and trends.
- Partnering with budget holders and stakeholders across the organisation.
- Identifying opportunities to improve reporting processes and forecasting models.
- Supporting audit requirements and liaising with internal and external auditors.

What you'll need to succeed
To be considered for this role, you should have:
- A full professional accountancy qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).
- Previous experience preparing management accounts and financial reporting.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Advanced Excel skills with experience analysing large volumes of financial data.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- A proactive, self-motivated approach with excellent attention to detail.
Desirable experience includes:
- Experience working within a commercial or industry-based finance environment.
- Knowledge of forecasting and financial modelling.
- Experience using ERP systems such as SAP and planning tools.
