Your new role

Reporting to the Financial Control & Reporting Manager, you will play a key role in delivering accurate and timely financial information to support business performance and decision-making.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Preparing monthly management accounts, journals, and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Managing month-end close activities and ensuring reporting deadlines are achieved.
• Reviewing P&L and balance sheet performance against budgets and forecasts.
• Producing board-level reports and presenting financial performance analysis.
• Supporting budgeting, forecasting, and business planning processes.
• Analysing financial data and providing clear commentary on variances and trends.
• Partnering with budget holders and stakeholders across the organisation.
• Identifying opportunities to improve reporting processes and forecasting models.
• Supporting audit requirements and liaising with internal and external auditors.

What you'll need to succeed

To be considered for this role, you should have:

• A full professional accountancy qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).
• Previous experience preparing management accounts and financial reporting.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Advanced Excel skills with experience analysing large volumes of financial data.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• A proactive, self-motivated approach with excellent attention to detail.

Desirable experience includes:

• Experience working within a commercial or industry-based finance environment.
• Knowledge of forecasting and financial modelling.
• Experience using ERP systems such as SAP and planning tools.
