Job Description

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Adult Social Care Self Directed Support Team.

This role plays a vital part in supporting adult social care clients, carers and families who receive support through Direct Payments and/or Individual Service Funds. If you have strong finance experience, excellent attention to detail and a passion for delivering a customer-focused service, we would love to hear from you.

  • 36 hours per week
  • 9-month contract (Maternity Cover)

The Role

You will be responsible for supporting the financial administration of client accounts, ensuring accuracy, compliance and transparency.

Key duties include:

  • Reconciling client accounts and calculating balances
  • Producing audit reports, identifying variances and processing reclaims
  • Processing and arranging payment of care bills
  • Supporting clients, carers and families with financial queries
  • Working collaboratively with internal teams and external partner agencies

This is a busy and responsible role that requires accuracy, organisation and the ability to manage your own workload effectively.

About You
  • Previous experience working in a finance setting
  • Excellent numeracy skills and strong attention to detail
  • Experience using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Confidence in learning new IT systems
  • Experience delivering a customer-focused service
  • The ability to communicate sensitively with vulnerable adults
  • The ability to work independently with minimal supervision
