Here at Pets at Home, we're rolling out a new Practice Management System across our veterinary business - and we need a Finance Project Operational Lead to make it happen.

About the Role:

In this pivotal role, you'll be the bridge between Practice Owners, Finance teams and project stakeholders, ensuring a smooth migration and embedding robust financial processes into business-as-usual operations. From pre-migration preparation and cutover execution to post-implementation support, you'll keep everything on track and help shape the future of our financial workflows.

We can offer a 12-month fixed term contract to support the project, with hybrid working from our Support Office in Handforth, Cheshire.

What you'll do:
  • Lead finance readiness activities, ensuring data integrity and smooth cutover
  • Support practices post-go-live, resolving issues quickly and protecting revenue
  • Optimise financial processes for scalability, control and efficiency
  • Build strong relationships with stakeholders and guide teams through change
What we're looking for:
  • Solid understanding of financial operations, debt management and reconciliation
  • Advanced Excel skills and confidence handling large data sets
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Resilience and adaptability in a fast-paced, evolving environment
Desirable:
  • Working towards ACCA/CIMA/ACA or equivalent experience.
  • Experience with systems implementation, data migration and tools like; Provet, SAP S/4 HANA, WorldPay
