Interim Project Manager - Travel & Expense (T&E)

Duration: 5 months

Location: Hybrid (minimum 2 days in office per week)

Rate: €31.88 - €35.43 per hour

Hours: 40 hours per week

We're currently supporting our client with the search for a Project Manager to lead their Travel & Expense (T&E) team's project portfolio. This is a hands-on role for someone with a strong finance background, deep operational insight into T&E processes, and proven project delivery experience. You'll play a critical role in overseeing the implementation, optimisation, and support of T&E systems and policies.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and deliver end-to-end T&E projects, managing scope, budget, timelines, and risk.
• Develop and maintain robust project plans with clear schedules and resourcing.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with teams including finance, HR, and IT to align project objectives.
• Optimise T&E policies and systems to drive compliance and efficiency.
• Provide user support and training across T&E platforms.
• Monitor T&E spend and identify cost-saving opportunities.
• Generate reports and dashboards to track KPIs and support decision-making.
• Manage and resolve T&E-related issues, ensuring minimal disruption to the business.

Essential Skills & Experience

• 5-7+ years' experience in project management with a strong focus on T&E.
• Deep understanding of T&E systems and policies (hands-on experience essential).
• Strong financial background with excellent stakeholder engagement skills.
• Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving capabilities.
• Proficiency with project management tools.

Preferred Experience

• PMP certification or equivalent.
• Experience with Concur Travel, Concur Expense, Workday, SAP, Mulesoft.
• Familiarity with tools such as Zendesk, ServiceNow, Tableau.
• Previous experience managing teams or leading cross-functional projects.
