Salary: £34,416 - £36,522 per annum

Job DescriptionService Care Solutions is recruiting on behalf of a London-based Local Authority for a Finance Payments and Admin Officer to join their Education and Schools Finance team on a permanent basis. The successful candidate will be an essential part of a dynamic finance team, providing excellent customer service to schools and Council staff on school payments and finance-related queries.
Main Responsibilities- Calculating and updating monthly payments to schools using the Council's schools advances system.
- Completing financial reconciliations and resolving discrepancies.
- Reviewing and following up on monthly and quarterly school finance returns.
- Liaising with Council staff and schools to address queries.
- Seeking continuous improvement opportunities in processes.
- AAT qualification or equivalent (highly preferred)
- Experience in public sector finance, especially Schools/Education finance, is essential
- Experience in a customer-facing environment resolving queries and improving processes
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, and Outlook
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team
