Finance Operations Analyst

We are looking for a detail-driven and proactive Finance Operations Analyst to join our finance team. This is a key operational role supporting the end-to-end finance function, with a primary focus on billing, accounts receivable and accounts payable.
This is a hands-on role where accuracy, pace, and ownership are essential. You will play a critical part in ensuring revenue is billed accurately, supplier invoices are reviewed and processed efficiently, payments are made on time, and working capital is effectively managed. Working closely with the Senior Management Accountant, Financial Controller and wider finance team, you will help deliver smooth day-to-day finance operations, maintain strong financial controls, and support healthy cash flow performance.
This role offers an excellent opportunity to develop broad finance operations experience, contribute to process improvements and build a strong foundation for progression within the finance team.
What You'll Do Billing & Accounts Receivable (AR)- Raise accurate and timely client invoices in line with contracts and billing schedules
- Ensure all billable work and expenses is invoiced completely and accurately
- Manage the end-to-end accounts receivable process, including cash allocation and client account reconciliations
- Manage overdue debt by proactively chasing outstanding invoices to maximise cash collections
- Work with Client Partners and clients to obtain purchase orders, resolve billing queries and support timely invoicing
- Prepare and maintain aged debt reporting, providing insights into overdue balances, collection performance and accounts receivable trends (e.g. DSO, accrued revenue)
- Review, code and process supplier invoices accurately, ensuring appropriate approvals are obtained and VAT is correctly accounted for
- Match purchase orders, invoices and receipts, investigating and resolving discrepancies where needed
- Prepare and process supplier payment runs in line with agreed payment terms
- Manage company credit card transactions, ensuring spend is appropriately coded, supported by valid receipts and compliant with the company expense policy
- Maintain supplier records and respond to supplier queries in a timely manner
- Ensure adherence to internal controls and finance policies
- Review and process employee expense claims in line with company policy
- Ensure all expenses are supported with appropriate documentation and approvals
- Reconcile expenses and credit card transactions within the accounting system, following up on outstanding documentation where required
- Support the month-end close process, including reconciliations and accruals where required
- Maintain accurate and complete financial records across AR, AP, expenses and cash
- Work closely with the Management Accountant and wider finance team to support accurate financial reporting
- Identify opportunities to improve processes, controls and system efficiencies
- Experience in accounts receivable, accounts payable and finance operations
- Highly organised with excellent attention to detail and strong numerical accuracy
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple priorities and deadlines
- Strong communication and relationship building skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues, clients and suppliers
- Proactive, reliable, and able to take ownership of daily finance processes
- Good understanding of finance systems and transactional workflows
- A collaborative team player with a willingness to support the wider Finance and Operations function
- A continuous improvement mindset, with a desire to simplify and automate processes to enhance the efficiency of the finance function
- Play a key role in managing the financial operations of the business, with a direct impact on cash flow and working capital
- Gain broad exposure across AR, AP and operations

This role will be based in our London studio. Our London studio is a welcoming space in the heart of Shoreditch (154-158 Shoreditch High Street, E1 6HU).
We work in a hybrid way, with two days a week in the studio - Tuesdays for everyone, plus either Wednesday or Thursday and flexibility to work from home the rest of the week.
The salary for this full-time senior role is £30,000 - £40,000k. The actual salary amount will depend on the candidate's experience, skillset and market knowledge. We benchmark our salaries regularly against competitive market data, so these ranges are subject to change.
