Finance Officer

Key Responsibilities:

As the Finance Officer, you'll play a pivotal role in maintaining accurate financial records and supporting the wider finance team. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

• Checking the balances of multiple bank accounts daily, ensuring accuracy and promptly flagging any discrepancies.
• Managing accruals and maintaining up-to-date financial records.
• Processing payment runs, including the timely and accurate payment of consultant invoices (equivalent to payroll).
• Overseeing rental prepayments on a quarterly basis and managing rental income.
• Drafting loan agreements and managing associated documentation.
• Using Webfiling for company secretarial tasks and statutory submissions.
• Conducting ad hoc analysis of supplier costs, ensuring value for money and contract compliance.
• Reviewing contracts to identify opportunities for cost savings and improved terms.
• Participating in project work to support the wider finance function and drive operational efficiencies.

What We're Looking For:

• Previous experience in a similar finance role, with strong attention to detail.
• Proficiency in working with financial systems and spreadsheets (e.g., Excel).
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritise workload effectively.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the confidence to liaise with internal and external stakeholders.
• A proactive approach to problem-solving and process improvement.
