This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified finance professional to join a highly successful, market-leading business during an exciting period of growth and investment. The successful candidate will play a key strategic role in overseeing the company's financial operations, supporting business performance, and contributing to long-term financial planning.

The ideal candidate will hold a third-level qualification in Finance, Accounting, or a related discipline, together with a recognised professional accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent). Previous experience managing or leading a finance team within a fast-paced commercial environment is highly desirable.

This role has become available due to their long-serving Finance Manager who held the position for over 10 years, is now moving on within the brand, but also other senior management has also held positions for relatively long periods, which reflects the company's strong culture, stability, and excellent staff retention.

Key Responsibilities for this Finance Manager job:

• Lead and oversee the day-to-day operations of the finance department.
• Develop and implement robust financial controls, policies, and procedures.
• Prepare monthly management accounts, budgets, forecasts, and cash flow reports.
• Manage the month-end close process, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.
• Analyse financial performance and provide commercial insights to support strategic decision-making.
• Develop long-term financial plans and forecasting models to support business growth.
• Conduct cost-benefit analysis and identify opportunities to improve profitability and operational efficiency.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant accounting standards, financial regulations, and statutory requirements.
• Liaise with external auditors and manage the annual audit process.
• Present financial reports and performance updates to senior management and board members.
• Support business improvement initiatives and undertake ad hoc financial projects as required.

Key Requirements for this Finance Manager Job

• Third-level qualification in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related discipline.
• Professionally qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CPA, or equivalent).
• Minimum of 2 years' post-qualified experience (PQE) in a finance or accounting role, with previous team leadership or supervisory experience preferred.
• Strong commercial acumen with excellent financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting skills.
• Experience within FMCG, retail, wholesale, or another fast-paced commercial environment would be advantageous, although candidates from other industries with strong commercial finance experience will also be considered.
• Proficiency in financial systems and Microsoft Excel.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial controls, and regulatory compliance.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain financial information to both financial and non-financial stakeholders.
• Proven leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop a finance team.
• Excellent organisational, problem-solving, and decision making abilities.
