Job Description
The Role: We are pleased to be exclusively partnered with a high performing, multi-entity business based in Leicester as they look to add a Finance Manager into their Group Finance team. This role plays a key position within the finance function, supporting the delivery of high-quality financial reporting, accounting, and financial control across a portfolio of entities and divisions. Sitting at the heart of Group Finance, the position offers excellent exposure to complex reporting areas including multi-entity structures, acquisitions, and statutory reporting, while also providing the opportunity to influence processes and drive improvements across the wider finance function.Key Responsibilities: • Lead the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes for assigned entities, ensuring accurate and timely reporting. • Prepare and review journals including accruals, prepayments, provisions, revenue recognition, and intercompany adjustments. • Produce monthly management information including P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow reporting, alongside detailed commentary on performance. • Deliver variance and trend analysis, highlighting key risks and performance drivers. • Ensure balance sheet reconciliations are complete, robust, and any discrepancies are investigated and resolved promptly. • Support Group consolidation by providing accurate entity-level financial information and reporting schedules. • Assist in the preparation of statutory accounts and ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards and policies. • Act as a key contact for external auditors, supporting audit processes and responding to queries. • Support the integration of new entities, including aligning accounting policies and embedding financial controls. • Drive continuous improvement across financial processes, controls, and systems, including supporting automation and standardisation initiatives. • Line manage and develop junior finance team members, providing guidance and fostering a high-performing team environment.The Ideal Candidate: • ACA / ACCA / CIMA qualified Accountant. • Strong technical accounting knowledge with experience in financial reporting or financial control within a multi-entity environment. • Good understanding of statutory reporting and accounting standards (e.g. IFRS). • Experience supporting audits and preparing financial reporting schedules. • Strong Excel skills including lookups, pivot tables, and financial modelling. • Highly analytical with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple deadlines. • Experience within a complex or regulated environment is advantageous but not essential. • Previous experience managing or mentoring junior team members is beneficial.What they Offer: • up to £75,000 base salary plus bonus • Hybrid working model (3 days in the office) • Strong benefits package • Exposure to complex, multi-entity reporting and acquisitions • Clear progression opportunities within a growing finance functionHow To Apply: We want to hear from you if you're excited about this opportunity and believe you have what it takes to excel in this role.
