What will you be doing?

The Netherlands Accountant is responsible for the accuracy of the Netherlands financial results, and monthly, quarterly, and annual accounting close processes to ensure accurate, timely, and relevant financial results in compliance with U.S. GAAP and local statutory & regulations requirements. The individual will play a key role in the Circana' s system utilisation to support compliance with US & local GAAP, execute the company's internal controls, and adhere to standard operating procedures.

This role reports to the Netherlands Controller.

Job Responsibilities

• Oversight of day-to-day Netherlands accounting operations, including accounting operations, monthly close process, account reconciliations, payroll, statutory reporting, tax, and payroll operations.
• Own production of timely and accurate monthly financial results in compliance with all U.S. GAAP and local statutory & regulations requirements.
• Support with all external stakeholders in the Netherlands (e.g. external auditors tax authorities).
• Participate in ad-hoc regional & global controllership projects.
• Drive a strong control environment and assist with the implementation of key SOX controls to drive the completeness and accuracy of Netherlands financial results.
• Document all local statutory & non-global procedures in line with Circana Group standards.
• Support a culture of continuous improvement and professional growth, including personal development, mentoring, and establishing clear performance goals.

Requirements

• Accounting or Finance degree from an accredited university; certified/chartered accountant designation required
• 4+ years of progressive finance experience, preferably from a U.S. multinational public company
• Strong communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively cross region
• Desire to collaborate & knowledge sharing skills with stakeholders across the business
• Ability to understand & problem solve in a matrix
• Ability to thrive in a dynamic, high growth, and rapidly changing environment
• High intellect, deep analytical skills, strong business acumen, and mental agility
• Experience with NetSuite, BlackLine, Dynamics and Coupa is a plus
• Dutch speaker with a proficient level of business English
