We are seeking a hands-on, commercially-minded Finance Manager to oversee day-to-day financial operations and play a key role in delivering timely, accurate financial reporting and insights to the leadership team. Key Responsibilities:

Oversee and manage the daily finance function, ensuring robust controls and timely, accurate reporting.

Lead the monthly close process, including the preparation of management accounts and reporting packs for the leadership team.

Act as a strategic business partner, working closely with budget holders to deliver insightful financial analysis, identify spending trends, and support data-driven decision-making.

Ensure compliance with all relevant financial regulations, accounting standards, and reporting requirements.

Support year-end reporting processes, including the preparation of statutory accounts and coordination with external auditors.

Manage and monitor cash flow to ensure financial stability and visibility.

Oversee the accurate preparation and submission of quarterly VAT returns.

Drive continuous improvement and automation of financial processes to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and reporting capability.

Identify and implement best practices to streamline operations and improve financial performance.

Provide ad-hoc analysis and support to the wider finance team and senior leadership.

Lead, coach, and develop a small team, fostering a collaborative, high-performance culture.
Skills & Experience Required:

Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or CA(SA) with relevant post-qualification experience in a commercial finance role.

Proven experience in both management and financial accounting within a service-based or SME environment.

Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to mentor and develop junior team members.

Background in high-growth or change-driven organisations, with a passion for improving processes and systems.

Excellent problem-solving ability, with a pragmatic approach to finding solutions in ambiguous or unstructured scenarios.

Strong attention to detail and ability to balance precision with pragmatism.

Skilled in translating complex financial data into meaningful business insights.

Comfortable working cross-functionally and building trusted relationships with non-finance stakeholders.

Curious, driven, and self-motivated - able to work independently and take initiative where appropriate.
