The impact you'll have

Reporting into the Head of Reporting and Control, this Finance Manager will manage the annual audit process, provide technical support to the wider finance team and business and ensure best practice within the reporting and control environment.

Your day-to-day:

  • Manage the annual and interim audit process, ensuring the results are materially correct and that management papers and supporting workbooks are of the highest quality
  • Delivery of the Financial Statements for the group by the end of February
  • Ownership of the Cashflow statements and other tax, technical areas in the month end process with support of the direct report
  • Be the day-to-day go to person for any technical accounting and reporting queries
  • Manage the tax relationships for the group liaising with external advisors for VAT/ C.T/ T.P
  • Identifying and project managing process improvement initiatives and other ad hoc projects

Your skillset:

  • Sound understanding of IFRS
  • Practice trained, ACA qualified (Top 6 Tier firm)
  • Ability to appreciate business implications and bigger picture alongside understanding the detail of the process
  • Experience with interpreting technical accounting standards and preparing robust management papers
  • Ability to work under-pressure in a fast paced environment
  • Excellent project managing skills ensuring delivery to deadlines
  • Robust understanding of best practice internal controls

Desirable

  • G Suite experience
  • Experience working in the tech/ travel sector
  • Knowledge of German GAAP

  • Case Study - review of financial statements and tailored questions regarding the business risks - 1 hr timed task
  • Final stage with key stakeholder/s in office - 1 hour - GFC and Group VP
