The Role The Finance Business Partner (Commerce & Subscriptions) will support the Western Europe Commerce and Subscription leadership teams in achieving their growth objectives. This individual will leverage comprehensive reporting and actionable insights to influence decision-making and drive regional strategy across both business lines.This role requires the candidate to act as a central data hub for the region, consolidating complex datasets, driving rigorous forecasting and budgeting processes, and identifying risks and opportunities across markets. They will lead the implementation of consistent reporting standards and provide critical support for long-range planning.The candidate will be based in London and report to the New York-based Executive Director. They will work closely with local market finance teams, business leads, and global FP&A. This position demands the ability to collaborate effectively across multiple time zones and currencies to digest, consolidate, and present key performance trends to senior leadership and the Board.Serve as the lead finance contact for Western Europe Commerce and Subscriptions, inclusive of: Commerce: + Deliver actionable insights through comprehensive reporting to drive decision-making and operational improvements. + Collaborate with global and local business leadership to formulate and execute effective regional strategies. + Proactively identify performance outliers across brands, markets, and inventory to mitigate risks and capitalise on trends. + Lead bi-weekly and quarterly forecasting processes, providing data-driven recommendations to management. + Support the development and refinement of the Commerce Long-Range Plan (LRP). + Prepare high-impact presentation materials for Board of Directors and senior leadership reviews. + Partner with leadership to efficiently manage headcount planning and resource allocation. Subscriptions: + Serve as the central hub for Western Europe subscription data, consolidating insights and updates for regional leadership. + Act as the primary financial advisor to the Western Europe Subscriptions Lead. + Oversee the monthly close process, ensuring the accuracy of variance analysis and financial statements. + Monitor gross profit performance against targets and validate the feasibility of financial goals. + Drive standardisation across local markets by sharing best practices and providing financial guidance. + Enforce consistent accounting classifications and reporting standards across all markets. + Assist in the preparation of materials for Board-level presentations regarding subscription performance. Budgeting: Support the annual budgeting process for the subscription business line. About You: Qualified or equivalent accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, will consider PQ or QBE). Ability to work and collaborate with senior global stakeholders. Ability to translate business requirements into non-technical, lay terms, and vice versa. Proven experience in drawing relevant insights from large data sets, and being a 'voice in the room' to influence subsequent discussions and decisions. Experienced Excel and Google Sheets user. High-level written and verbal communication skills. Ability to extrapolate scenarios from ambiguous data sets with confidence. Ability to establish good working relationships with staff at a variety of levels, across teams and functions. Self-motivated, working on your own initiative.
