About the RoleThe Finance Business Partner, VMTV supports the Finance Director in the delivery of finance activities across Virgin Media Television. The role has a core focus on the monthly reporting and forecasting cycle, and on the preparation of the annual budget and Long Range Plan (LRP), providing the analytical rigour and hands on delivery that underpins the Finance Director's ownership of these processes. Beyond this core focus, the role provides broad support across commercial business partnering, investment governance, regulatory and compliance activities, and strategic projects - working closely with the Finance Director to ensure VMTV finance operates effectively day to day. The role requires someone who is highly organised, has strong attention to detail, is naturally inquisitive and has a proactive approach to improving processes and developing new ways of reporting. This role reports to the Finance Director, VMTV. While the wider team operates a flexible working from home policy, this arrangement is at the discretion of each individuals line manager. This role will normally be required to work from the Ballymount or Macken House offices at least 2 3 days per week depending on the requirements of the FD.
Specific Duties & Tasks Monthly Reporting & Forecasting- Prepare and deliver the monthly management accounts, KPI packs and P&L reporting for VMTV, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
- Lead the monthly forecasting cycle, updating revenue, cost and content amortisation forecasts in collaboration with the business
- Prepare materials and analysis for monthly performance reviews with the Finance Director, VPs and CFO
- Analyse variances against budget and forecast, providing clear commentary on key drivers and trends
- Maintain and continuously improve reporting templates, models and dashboards
- Lead the preparation of the annual budget and multiyear LRP for VMTV, coordinating inputs across programming, advertising and content teams
- Coordinate the collation of cost centre budget inputs from budget holders across VMTV, ensuring consistency, accuracy and adherence to guidelines
- Build and maintain the financial models underpinning budget and LRP submissions
- Support the Finance Director in preparing materials for CEO sign off and other senior stakeholder presentations
- Ensure budget and LRP processes are delivered to agreed timetables with appropriate quality control and numerical precision
- Support business partnering activities across content, programming and advertising, providing day to day financial analysis and insight to the business
- Develop improved insights and analysis on revenue and programming performance, including the link between commercial and content outcomes, to support decision making
- Assist with the preparation, review and tracking of business cases and investment requests, supporting the Capital Allocation framework and governance process
- Monitor programming spend and commitments against budget
- Support the Finance Director in preparing financial data, returns and analysis for regulatory bodies (e.g. Coimisiún na Meán, IMRO) and other compliance requirements
- Support adherence to internal controls, US GAAP and Purchasing Policy, including good PO discipline
- Provide financial support and analysis for Strategic Projects as required (e.g. Fibre Build Cost Control), under the direction of the Finance Director

Skills & ExpertiseQualified accountant (CIMA, ACCA, ACA) Financial planning experience essential Strong Excel and financial modelling skills; experience with Hyperion (Planning & HFM), Oracle or similar systems desirable Strong analytical skills with excellent attention to detail Ability to manage multiple deadlines, particularly during monthly reporting and annual budget/LRP cycles Good communication skills, with the ability to translate financial analysis for non finance stakeholders Proactive, organised and inquisitive approach to problem solving and process improvement An interest in, or understanding of, the media and broadcast industry is an advantage
