Hays Accountancy & Finance are delighted to be working with a leading Northern Ireland organisation to recruit a Finance Business Partner on a 12-month maternity cover contract.This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially minded qualified accountant to join a high-profile organisation where you'll work closely with senior operational leaders, providing financial insight, strategic support, and commercial guidance to drive business performance.

Your new role

• Partnering with senior operational stakeholders to provide financial insight and challenge
• Leading the preparation of annual budgets, forecasts, and monthly management accounts
• Supporting strategic planning and business performance initiatives
• Delivering commercial analysis to identify revenue growth and cost-saving opportunities
• Producing profitability reporting and performance analysis
• Supporting business improvement and operational efficiency projects
• Providing financial input into service development and operational decision-making
• Enhancing reporting and data analysis to support informed business decisions
• Supporting budgetary control, financial planning, and performance monitoring processes
• Liaising with internal and external stakeholders, including auditors where required

What you'll need to succeed

• Fully qualified accountant status (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)
• Minimum 3 years' post-qualified experience within industry or commerce
• Previous experience in a Finance Business Partner or commercially focused finance role
• Strong management accounting, budgeting, and forecasting experience
• Proven ability to influence and challenge senior stakeholders
• Experience identifying and implementing cost reduction or profitability improvement initiatives
• Strong commercial acumen and analytical skills
• Experience using integrated financial systems and reporting tools
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple priorities
