The Role Reporting to the Finance Director, UK, the Finance Business Partner will support our brands/functions, providing clear financial insight and trusted advice to drive performance and growth. Working closely with senior stakeholders, you will play a key role in shaping financial plans, analysing performance, and translating complex data into meaningful insight that supports decision-making. This is a hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys partnering with the business, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and is motivated by using finance to make a real impact. Be a strategic partner to the UK and European Finance Business Partnering (FBP) function in support of the UK market operations Become a trusted resource of the FBPs and business stakeholders, become the go-to person and embed within the business as an expert in their field Partner to the FBPs for Advertising, Consumer and Content to support them in their endeavours in the UK business + OPEX planning and analysis + COGS analysis, particularly around events, branded content and consumer products + Profitability analysis and tracking + Model building and support of existing and new business lines Work closely with the UK and Bangalore Controlling teams to ensure a smooth month-end close, analysing reporting packs and, in particular, statistical analysis Support closely in the annual budget and reforecasting process, owning various parts of the process from inception to execution, in particular, our driver-based planning models Own the end-to-end people planning process for the UK business, partnering with the People team to ensure accurate people planning, identifying risks and opportunities Assemble and summarise data to structure understandable reports on financial statements, track and determine financial performance by analysing actual results in comparison with forecasts (variance analysis), risks and opportunities Support on various ongoing projects within FBP, such as subscriber end-to-end journey, print optimisation strategy, consumer product profitability, branded content and events profitability, Adbook standardisation-optimisation About you: Part-qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent), or actively studying towards a qualification. Relevant finance business partnering experience, ideally within a media or FMCG environment. Strong financial and accounting capability, with the ability to analyse results, identify trends, and translate data into clear commercial insight. A strategic and commercially minded approach, using financial expertise to support business growth and decision-making. Excellent communication, influencing, and interpersonal skills, with the confidence to work with stakeholders at all levels. Experience consolidating complex or disparate information and turning it into clear, streamlined reporting tailored to the audience. High attention to detail and accuracy, with the ability to work under pressure and consistently meet deadlines. A proactive, solutions-focused mindset, including the ability to think creatively and challenge conventional approaches when needed. Strong stakeholder awareness and empathy, enabling effective information gathering and a clear understanding of business needs. A results-driven and risk-aware approach, with a commitment to sound controls, integrity, and compliance. An interest in continuous improvement and improving financial processes, systems, and ways of working. Experience with Workday Financials and People, Adaptive Planning, Oracle Hyperion Planning, and Google G-Suite is desirable.
