Our client are specialists in their industry sector, if you are a Finance Manager and have experience managing business services this role could be ideal for you.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build, develop and coordinate the Finance & Business Services function in close collaboration with Group Finance and Group HR, ensuring alignment with Group policies, systems, controls and ways of working.
  • Provide hands on leadership across finance, payroll, administration and people services activities during the site's growth phase.
  • Develop scalable systems, processes and controls capable of supporting future business expansion.
  • Support the development of a high performance culture aligned with values and leadership principles.
  • Lead all site finance activities, ensuring compliance with Group policies, procedures and financial controls in close corporation with Group Finance and HR.
  • Prepare annual budgets, forecasts and long term financial plans. Produce accurate monthly management accounts and business performance reporting.
  • Provide financial analysis and insight to support operational and strategic decision-making. Manage cash flow, working capital and cost control activities.
  • Support capital investment decisions, business cases and strategic growth initiatives.
  • Establish and monitor key financial performance indicators and ensure appropriate reporting to site and Group management.
  • Support operational leaders in identifying opportunities to improve profitability, productivity and financial performance.
  • Coordinate payroll activities and ensure accurate employee related financial administration.
  • Support recruitment, onboarding and employee lifecycle processes. Maintain people related records, policies and reporting requirements.
  • Support employee engagement, communication and people development initiatives. Coordinate facilities, office administration and site business support services.
  • Ensure business support functions operate efficiently and effectively to support manufacturing and aftermarket operations.
  • Develop and maintain effective financial controls, governance processes and compliance procedures.
  • Develop ERP, reporting and management information processes that improve business visibility and decision making. Identify opportunities for process improvement, standardisation and automation across finance and people services activities.
  • Ensure compliance with statutory, financial, payroll and employment related requirements. Support internal and external audit activities as required.
  • Lead the local implementation and deployment of the Group ERP platform within the UK operation.
  • Work closely with Group Finance, IT and operational teams to establish standardised processes, controls and reporting structures.
  • Support system testing, data migration, user training and adoption activities. Ensure ERP capabilities support financial reporting, payroll administration, operational planning and management information requirements.
  • Drive continuous optimisation of ERP processes and reporting capabilities following implementation.

About You

  • ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified (or qualified by experience).
  • Significant experience within finance leadership roles in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience producing management accounts, financial reporting and business performance analysis, budgeting, forecasting and financial planning experience.
  • Experience building, developing or transforming finance and business support functions within a growing organisation.
  • Strong commercial awareness and business partnering capability. Strong ERP systems knowledge and advanced Excel capability.
  • Proven ability to deliver financial and business support leadership whilst maintaining direct ownership of day to day operational activities. Excellent communication, organisational and stakeholder management skills.

Desirable

  • Experience within engineering or manufacturing businesses. Knowledge of project costing and contract-based manufacturing environments.
  • Experience supporting business startups, greenfield operations or periods of rapid growth.
  • Experience working within an international organisation.
  • Experience implementing ERP, reporting or business process improvement initiatives.
  • CIPD qualification or exposure to HR/People Services leadership responsibilities.
