About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Finance Analyst SME to join a dynamic finance team. This strategic role is designed for a subject matter expert with a deep expertise in IFRS9, financial modelling, and customer value modelling. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in guiding analytical workstreams, identifying financial risks and opportunities, and shaping decision-making across the organisation.

This is a leadership-oriented position focused more on directing work and identifying issues than on hands-on execution. You will act as a trusted advisor, providing insight and oversight to ensure the integrity and strategic alignment of financial analysis.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and direct financial analysis related to IFRS9, customer value, and strategic modelling.
• Identify and assess financial risks, trends, and opportunities across portfolios.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment of financial models with business objectives.
• Provide expert guidance on accounting treatments and regulatory impacts.
• Review and challenge existing models and assumptions to improve accuracy and relevance.
• Support senior stakeholders with clear, actionable insights and recommendations.
• Mentor Junior Analysts and contribute to capability development within the team.

Ideal Candidate Profile

• Proven experience in IFRS9 and financial modelling within a financial services environment.
• Deep understanding of customer value modelling and its application in strategic decision-making.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to challenge and influence.
• Excellent communication skills, capable of translating complex financial concepts into business language.
• Comfortable operating in a leadership capacity, directing work and identifying key issues.
