Job Description
Finance Administrator - Immediate start
I am looking for a Finance Administrator to join a global entertainment client initially on a temporary basis, which may lead to a permanent position. This role involves working with two busy teams, requiring an organized and motivated self-starter.
Your main duties will include:
- Monitoring the financials of film marketing campaigns, ensuring accurate tracking and alignment with reconciled media plans.
- Investigating and resolving discrepancies between invoices, reconciled plans, and POs through effective collaboration with internal teams and external agencies.
- Processing goods receipts for marketing POs against reconciled media plans and budgets, ensuring alignment within the team and with vendor expectations.
- Raising and managing all POs for the Publicity department in the UK & Ireland, ensuring they are created in advance of publicity activities and services being provided.
- Working with senior leaders and cross-functional teams across the UK, EMEA, and global markets to align project budgets, resolve operational challenges, and ensure seamless workflows across finance, publicity, IT, legal, and HR.
- Analyzing previous campaign budgets to improve accuracy in future budget planning and inform decision-making.
- Coordinating with internal and external stakeholders to manage vendor relationships, focusing on procurement compliance and efficient vendor onboarding.
- Collaborating with the events team to set up vendors, arrange upfront payments, and record budgets requiring contributions to ensure accurate project costing.
- Reconciling budgets post-event by comparing spend versus actuals, breaking down all incurred costs and associated POs, and highlighting over- or under-spend.
What skills do I need?
- Work experience in a finance administration role is essential, ideally within film distribution, broadcasting, or a media environment.
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel.
- Strong numeracy skills and attention to detail to ensure accuracy in financial processes.
- Strong problem-solving skills to address complex issues and implement effective solutions.
- Highly organized with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet tight deadlines.
- Excellent communication and multi-tasking skills, with confidence in managing internal and external relationships.
This role is a hybrid position based in Central London and requires an immediate start.
