Job Description

Job Description - This role reports to the Companion Animal Technical Lead and works closely with the Regional Sales and Technical Product Support Managers. The specialist veterinary expert will provide in field technical training and support to sales teams and customers, develop key opinion leader relationships, and implement the technical strategy to meet company objectives.

Responsibilities
  • Customer and Field Sales Team Support (%) - build the company's reputation as technical experts, work autonomously with clinics to improve patient outcomes, collaborate with Regional Sales Managers and Account Managers to build and drive account plans, develop technical programmes for key veterinary practices, identify and deliver in house technical training, act as key contact for complex queries, and provide relevant technical and marketing intelligence to head office teams.
  • Technical Product Support - available on a daytime only rota to respond to companion animal technical queries, manage enquiries from the technical product support team, and record all cases accurately in the Salesforce CRM reporting system while remaining compliant with NOAH code of practice and pharmacovigilance requirements.
  • Key Opinion Leader (KOL) and Other Key Customer Relationships - liaise with brand technical leads, develop KOL plans in universities, veterinary practices and other institutions, participate in local or international business meetings, and attend evening and weekend meetings as required.
Qualifications & Experience
  • UK recognised veterinary degree, Member of the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons (MRCVS) and a valid UK driving licence.
  • Significant experience working within UK Companion Animal First Opinion practice.
  • Ability to communicate technical training effectively to varied audiences.
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Persuasive, influential, and able to manage stakeholder relationships.
  • Strong time management, project management, and organisational skills.
  • Ability to operate and communicate at various levels within the company.
  • Energetic, resourceful, and able to initiate and manage change.
  • Team player attitude.
Desirable
  • Post graduation qualification in a relevant area of interest.
  • Commercial acumen and understanding of industry relevant financial data.
  • Network of Key Opinion Leader relationships.
Location

This position requires travel within and sometimes outside a designated territory and is suitable for applicants based in the North of the UK: Scotland, Scottish Borders, within reach of the M6 A74(M) +/- ranges of the A1(M).

Employment Details
