The Opportunity: Field Service Engineer

The Impact you will have:

1. Attend customer locations to determine the scope of work, assess and agree on work priorities with the end user, and ensure safe working practices.
2. Liaise with controllers and customers regarding expected work, providing clarity on timescales and costs throughout the process.
3. Identify the root cause of breakdowns promptly and obtain the correct parts efficiently, including consulting the Briggs Technical team when needed.
4. Ensure all work complies with engineering standards and manufacturer specifications/tolerances.
5. Perform inspections and checks on work as it progresses, ensuring equipment safety and performance before returning to the customer.
6. Identify additional work required and inform customers, especially when costs are involved, maximizing revenue opportunities.
7. Complete all job and service documentation accurately, obtaining necessary signatures and customer approvals.

1. Relevant technical qualification
2. Previous experience in a similar role
3. Good understanding of hydraulic, mechanical, and electrical principles
4. Ability to work independently and under pressure
5. Skill in managing and prioritizing workload
6. Understanding customer needs

1. A base salary of up to £36,934 per annum based on a 40-hour week
2. Overtime paid at x1.5 Monday - Saturday and x2 on Sunday
