The Opportunity: Field Service Engineer

The Impact you will have:

• Attending customer locations to determine the scope of work required, assessing and agreeing with the end user on work priorities, and ensuring safe working practices are followed.
• Communicating with controllers and customers about expected work, providing clarity on timescales and costs throughout the job.
• Identifying the root cause of breakdowns promptly and obtaining the correct parts efficiently, including consulting the Briggs Technical team when needed.
• Ensuring all work complies with engineering standards and manufacturer specifications.
• Performing inspections and checks during work to ensure equipment safety and performance before returning it to the customer.
• Notifying the customer of any additional work needed, especially if it incurs costs, and maximizing revenue opportunities for damaged equipment.
• Completing all job and service documentation accurately, obtaining necessary signatures and customer approval.

What will help you to excel in this role:

• Relevant technical qualification
• Previous experience in a similar role
• Good understanding of hydraulic, mechanical, and electrical principles
• Ability to work independently and under pressure
• Strong workload management and prioritization skills
• Understanding customer needs

• A base salary of up to £36,934 per annum based on a 40-hour week
• Overtime paid at 1.5x Monday - Saturday and 2x on Sunday
