The Opportunity: Field Service Engineer

The Impact you will have:

1. Attending customer locations to determine the scope of work, assessing and agreeing on work priorities with the end user, and ensuring safe working practices.
2. Communicating with controllers and customers about expected work, providing clarity on timescales and costs.
3. Identifying the root cause of breakdowns promptly and obtaining the correct parts cost-effectively, including consulting the Briggs Technical team when necessary.
4. Ensuring all work complies with engineering standards and manufacturer specifications.
5. Inspecting and checking work as it progresses, ensuring equipment performs satisfactorily and is safe before handover.
6. Identifying additional work needed and informing the customer, especially if costs are involved, and maximizing potential revenue from damaged equipment.
7. Completing all job and service documentation accurately, obtaining necessary signatures and customer approval.

What will help you to excel in this role:

1. Relevant technical qualifications
2. Previous experience in a similar role
3. Good understanding of hydraulic, mechanical, and electrical principles
4. The ability to work independently and under pressure
5. Strong workload management and prioritization skills
6. Understanding customer needs

1. A base salary of up to £36,934 per annum based on a 40-hour week
2. Overtime paid at 1.5x Monday to Saturday and 2x on Sunday
