The Opportunity: Field Service Engineer

The Impact you will have:

1. Attending customer locations to determine the scope of work, assessing and agreeing with the end user on work priorities, and ensuring safe working practices.
2. Communicating with the controller and customer about expected work, providing clarity on timescales and costs.
3. Identifying root causes of breakdowns promptly and obtaining correct parts cost-effectively, including consulting the Briggs Technical team when needed.
4. Ensuring all work complies with engineering standards and manufacturer specifications.
5. Performing inspections and checks during work to ensure equipment performs satisfactorily and safely before handing back to the customer.
6. Identifying additional work needed on machinery and informing the customer, especially if costs are involved, aiming to maximize revenue from damaged equipment.
7. Completing all job and service documentation accurately, obtaining necessary signatures and documents from the customer.

What will help you to excel in this role:

1. Relevant technical qualification
2. Previous experience in a similar role
3. Good understanding of hydraulic, mechanical, and electrical principles
4. The ability to work independently and under pressure
5. Strong workload management and prioritization skills
6. Understanding customer needs

1. A base salary of up to £36,934 per annum based on a 40-hour week
2. Overtime paid at 1.5x Monday - Saturday and 2x on Sunday
