Field Service Engineer (Plant Equipment/Sweepers)

Salary: £40,000-£42,000 base (£50,000+ OTE)
Location: Croydon, Greater London (commutable)
Hours: Monday Friday, 40 hrs/week + Door to Door paid + 1.5x overtime
Job Type: Full time, Permanent

The Responsibilities

• Attend breakdowns, service & installations of industrial cleaning equipment within a 1 hour radius
• Use manual hand tools, powered electrical tools, lifting equipment & hot working tools
• Carry out electrical, electronic & mechanical fault finding & repairs on IG engines (petrol, diesel, LPG)
• Manage time effectively to deliver high standard work promptly
• Update job reports & order parts when necessary
• Ensure Health & Safety procedures are followed

The Requirements

• Experience in electrical & mechanical fault finding, repair & service (advantageous)
• Good level of electrical or mechanical knowledge; similar roles: plant engineer, maintenance engineer, hydraulic engineer, pneumatic engineer, mechanical fitter
• Qualifications: NVQ or City & Guilds in mechanical/electrical engineering (not essential but an advantage)
• Experience using electrical & mechanical tools
• Previous experience as a mechanical, electrical or field based engineer working on diesel engines & using electrical diagnostic tools
• Full UK driver's licence
