The Team
The Regional UK and Ireland team drives Deliveroo's performance across all four nations of UKI. Based from Brighton, Bognor, Belfast, and other locations, we are experts in the local markets we serve. As part of the regional UKI team, your role will involve signing up the best restaurants in your city or region. This region presents significant growth opportunities for Deliveroo, and we are building a team of commercially experienced individuals to realize our potential. You will work within the Greater London region and report to the Regional Manager.
The role
This is a great opportunity to become an important member of a growing business in a competitive market. You'll build relationships with new restaurant partners in your area, enhance our value proposition for customers, and identify ways to sustain our rapid growth. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys building relationships.
Please note that we are seeking someone willing to travel around London and nearby areas such as Reading, Woking, Guildford, Camberley, Crawley, and Horsham. This is not a typical office job, so comfort with being out on the road is essential.
What you'll be doing
- Map, prospect, pitch, and close new restaurants across your region in an organized manner, becoming a local expert on emerging and popular restaurants.
- Communicate with restaurants via visits, emails, calls, and social media to demonstrate Deliveroo's technology.
- Manage the restaurant onboarding process to ensure it is quick, efficient, and seamless.
- Support restaurant success within the first eight weeks after signing.
- Sample food from various high-quality establishments.
- Attend restaurant and food meet-ups.
KPIs include the number of restaurants signed each month and the performance of these restaurants in their first three months.
Required Skills
- Comfortable with targeting new business and possessing sales experience.
- Skilled negotiator capable of structuring win-win deals for restaurants and Deliveroo.
- Knowledgeable about the economics of food delivery for restaurants and Deliveroo.
- Ability to demonstrate product and industry knowledge to clients.
- Ability to take ownership and work towards demanding targets.
- Interest in food and restaurants.
- Tenacious and motivated attitude.
- At least 1 year of sales experience.
